The students held their first Slideshow workshop, with the aim of telling a story in 9 photos over 1 minute.
The 1st year Montpellier students have completed their first Slideshow workshop, one of the three major projects of their school year.
Based on the themes and intentions proposed by the students, the selected projects were carried out by teams of 5 or 6 students (positions: director, editor/skilled assistant/script, image supervisor, sound supervisor, sound assistant).

Developing visual and sound intentions
In concrete terms, they had to tell a story, a narrative (beginning-middle-end) in 1 minute, with the educational objectives of structuring and developing visual and sound intentions. Each group drew up a production file supervised by the teacher.
Filming took place over the course of a single day, either in the campus hall, in the immediate vicinity of the campus or even in the classrooms, obviously taking into account the health precautions inherent in COVID 19.
Each group was provided with the following technical equipment: 1 GH5 Panasonic hybrid camera, a tripod, a light pack, a sound case with 1 Sennheiser MKE600 microphone and 1 SoundDevice MixPRE 3 recorder.

The schedule for the slideshow workshop was spread over eight weeks, as follows: project selection (pitches and synopsis + constitution of teams): synopsis, breakdown including soundtrack and timing: final approvals project design + production files; filming, editing and pre-mixing; jury and in fine final editing and mixing.
