Rising power since 2011

When he left ESMA in 2011, Boris Kaufmann worked for a while at the Paris studio Delapost, as a 3D generalist, where he took part in various advertising projects (Gazprom, Pepsi, etc.). After working for a number of other studios and for a time on a freelance basis, he joined Mikros Image in 2013, where he took part in a number of advertising projects, notably for Orange, Citroën and Mercedes-Benz.

After 2 years, he turned to other adventures and joined MPC Paris(Asterix and Obelix…) where he took on a series of ambitious projects, moving from the position of 3D supervisor to that of VFX supervisor.

The first film he worked on as VFX supervisor was Bruno Samper’s Vesper Chronicles.

On Animal Kingdom, Boris had the opportunity to build on his CG skills, and was involved throughout the creative chain. His roles: project management and technical application specific to the world of 3D.

During his presentation at CinéCréatis, Boris Kaufmann shared with the school’s students the challenges he encountered in designing the film, and went over the various stages he and his teams had to overcome to achieve the desired result.
