2nd year students from the CinéCréatis school in Lyon took part in a practical exercise/workshop on framing and lighting using ARRI equipment.
In any discipline, it’s important to get to grips with and refine your knowledge of technical equipment, especially at the start of the year.
Mastering the fundamentals of filming and the precise menu settings of a professional camera is the very essence of the knowledge acquired by students on the Cinécréatis audiovisual director-designer course.

Portraiture and pack shots
The 2nd year CinéCréatis Lyon students recently had the opportunity to take part in a two-hour practical exercise/workshop using ARRI equipment(see post).
The session was of great technical interest, as it focused on framing and lighting for portrait and packshot photography, with the underlying aim of developing the aesthetics of an image.

ARRI, a benchmark brand
The students used ARRI cameras, in particular the Amira, a multi-purpose camera that is the little sister of the famous Alexa.
With over 100 years of history, the German company ARRI is a market leader in the design and manufacture of camera and lighting systems for the film and audiovisual industry. It has a worldwide network.
ARRI equipment has been used in films and series such as: Game of Thrones, Avengers, Le Grand Bain, Les Misérables, Blade Runner, Le Bureau des Légendes, Black Panther, The Handmaid’s tale, Les Tuches 3, Big Little Lies, Chernobyl…
