Internships

We firmly believe that practical experience is essential to prepare our students for a successful career in film and audiovisual. That's why we offer an exciting and rewarding internship programme.

Internships: turning knowledge into experience

At CinéCréatis, work placements play an essential role in our students’ careers. They offer a unique opportunity to turn the skills acquired in the classroom into practical experience, to discover the film and audiovisual industry from the inside, and to build a solid professional network to launch their careers.

Terms and conditions and work placement periods

As part of the Film and Audiovisual Professional Cycle, our students are required to complete an 8-week work placement. We strongly encourage them to accumulate up to 12 weeks of work experience, preferably scheduled during the school holidays, to maximise their professional immersion.

After graduation, our students also have the opportunity to extend their internship experience for 6 months, from July to December, thanks to a special agreement, in order to strengthen their career path and consolidate their professional network.

In accordance with current legislation, all work placements in France within the same organisation for more than two months must be paid in cash.

The Career Center

Discover the Career Center, a space dedicated to providing professional support for CinéCréatis students and graduates. On this page, you’ll find all the initiatives put in place to prepare students to enter the world of cinema and audiovisual: CV workshops, meetings with professionals, conferences, internship and job opportunities, as well as an active network of alumni and partner companies. The aim is to help each student build their project, develop their network and seize the opportunities that will make their career take off.

Educational support for our students

At CinéCréatis, we encourage our students to search for internships on their own, so that they can experience the realities of the profession. We know, however, that this can be a real challenge, and we are always there to support them.

That's why we prepare our students for this stage of their course. We help them draw up their CVs and put together a high-quality portfolio. In addition, we offer speaking coaching in French and English, to prepare them for any interviews they may have.

Our students also have access to one-to-one meetings with our Pedagogy Department, which supports them in their search for placements, advises them and guides them towards relevant opportunities. To make their search even easier, we make our students’ CVs available to our local partners and provide a list of companies and alumni who have already hosted students on work placements.

Finally, during their placement, the tutors fill in a certificate and an evaluation form, guaranteeing rigorous, high-quality monitoring of the work experience.

For their part, our students write an internship report, recounting their discoveries, learning and experiences in the field.

A springboard to working life

At CinéCréatis, hands-on learning is at the heart of our teaching methods. Our students arrive at their placements fully prepared and often surprise companies with their maturity and adaptability.

Internships give them the opportunity to work on real projects, develop their team skills, improve their interpersonal skills and adapt to the pace of business. They also enable them to build a solid network, a valuable asset for their future career.

Much more than just an experience, internships are a real springboard to a successful career in the film and audiovisual industry. These unique opportunities allow our students to grow, experiment and prepare for the challenges of the professional world.
