Youenn Latour

A look back at the years of CinéCréatis

Professional career

How did he get started in the industry?

He started as a trainee in the assistant editors’ lab. During a two-month internship and a few intermittent freelances, he worked as part of a team on commercials (mainly for ‘beauty’ companies such as LOréal and for cars such as Nissan).
He then did another internship in Digital District’s colour-grading department, Color, before joining the company on a permanent basis as an assistant colour-grader from January 2017.
Although he also worked on advertising, feature films took up most of his time.

During his internship

“Within the team I was part of, we were responsible for the final visual rendering of the film. Personally, I was in close contact with the colourist to help him as best I could, to ensure that he worked smoothly and pleasantly. We also worked closely with the editing and special effects teams to achieve the desired result.
The various feature films I’ve worked on can be seen on my IMDB profile.

The present day

I recently quit my job to fulfil a childhood dream of travelling to New Zealand for at least a year. Even if it’s not my main priority, it’s not out of the question to work there in the audiovisual industry and discover another way of working.
