SYNOPSIS
As part of a first-year project, students were given the opportunity to produce a mini-short film lasting between 1 and 3 minutes. The film was shot in just two days, highlighting the creativity of the young students. One particularly fascinating short film plunges us into the world of the Cold War, skilfully combining tension, humour and clumsiness. Entitled "Berlin, nest of spies", the film offers a surprising insight into the diplomacy of the time, through the tumultuous adventures of two secret agents.
Synopsis
We are in the heart of the Cold War, in Berlin. In 1960, the information war is raging between the two blocs, and each is looking for a way to ease tensions. In an unprecedented effort, the CIA and the KGB decide to take the first step by each sending one of their secret agents on a mission. Their objective: to negotiate a crucial hostage exchange in a West Berlin bar. However, fate is against them, as the two agencies have chosen agents who are, to say the least, scatterbrained. When these two enemies meet, their clumsiness leads them to sympathise in unexpected ways… and to make the conflict even more icy than before.
