Synopsis:

From the bottom of the valleys to the immaculate peaks of the Alps, let us take you to the heart of Timoté and Zébulon Roche’s father-son relationship, through a documentary immortalising the state of mind specific to “children of the heights”, these mountain men who are born, live and forge their identity surrounded by their snowy reliefs. The mountains have left their mark on the lives of Zébulon, his father and now his son Tim. It’s fascinating to see how, following in his father’s footsteps to reach his first summits, Tim has also chosen to perpetuate this passion from generation to generation. However, it wasn’t always obvious to Tim that he should follow this path.

His father, Zébulon, was a man of passion. A child prodigy with an impressive track record. It’s his passion that has guided him all his life, from his childhood, when his father took him on most of his treks in the high mountains, right up to the present day, when, in his fifties, he’s still racking up the summits. Tim and his brother knew a father who was distant and focused on his sport and his work as a mountain guide. With a father with an unrivalled career and a young freestyle ski prodigy for a younger brother, Tim, with no particular area of interest, felt isolated from the rest of his family. So he distanced himself from the high landscapes of his childhood. He tried to find his way elsewhere.

But as if it were written in his genes, but above all encoded in his upbringing, a few years later he returned to find it in the heart of the mountains.
