A day of meetings at Cinécréatis Lyon
Yesterday, CinéCréatis Lyon had the pleasure of welcoming the director and president of the association Génération 7e Art for a discussion with our students. The meeting provided an opportunity to present the association’s work with students from the first to the final year of secondary school, as well as the organisation of the National School Film Festival, of which CinéCréatis is a partner.
Representatives of Génération 7e Art also screened a short film made by the director, accompanied by making-of footage, to give our students an opportunity to discuss his entire experience, from creation to distribution.
Continuing the theme of transmission, the afternoon was given over to a talk by Pierre-Louis Pingault, director and assistant director for over 25 years. A former member of the Grand Prix jury at the last edition of the National School Film Festival, he spoke to the second and third year students about an essential theme in fiction: communication between the different positions on a film crew, while looking back over his professional career.
It was a day rich in exchanges and feedback, illustrating the importance of the link between training, professional practice and cultural commitment.
