MONA, a colourful musical for the FFDE!
From 10 to 18 April, a musical came to life. Our final-year students set down their cameras in the Nantes region to shoot their Final Year Film (FFDE), the culmination of three years of study and their passport to the professional world.

The musical comedy format was a natural choice when director Lita Dupau decided to depict the relationship between two artists who are polar opposites in every way, Max and Mona: what could be better than a film full of singing, dancing and music to showcase Mona and Max? asks Lita Dupau, the director of Mona.
The synopsis of Mona :
The filming of Mona lasted eight days. Between unforeseen events and adventures, our students adapted to draw the lines of the relationship between Max and Mona. The end-of-studies film is a must for all CinéCréatis students. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, each student takes on a specific role in the production of the FFDE. This is the last project before the big plunge into the professional world! Mona is no exception, with no fewer than 63 students working on the film, from writing to post-production, which is currently underway.
Like us, you can’t wait to see this film… So as a foretaste, here’s the synopsis of Mona :
Mona is a rock musical about Max, an introverted cartoonist, and Mona, a musician with a turbulent life. At first glance, they seem to have nothing in common, but their shared love of art pushes them out of their respective comfort zones.
” Our ambition is to make Mona a young, rocking, modern musical that reflects our generation. To do this, we’re taking inspiration from Jonathan Larson’s work, his colourful characters and his up-to-the-minute musical themes. Our aim is to tackle sensitive subjects such as lack of self-confidence and bereavement using the musical tools that the format allows us, ” says Lita Dupau.
