After a highly successful first edition in Montpellier, the Cinécréatis event is continuing to expand and will be held in Lyon and Nantes on 25 April 2026. Free and open to all, this exceptional event offers a total immersion in the world of cinema and audiovisual. For a few hours, go behind the scenes of film creation and discover the many different professions involved in making a film, from writing to post-production.

An immersive and participatory experience

Cinécréatis invites you to take part in an enriching day out, designed for anyone with a curiosity or passion. Through conferences and practical workshops led by industry experts, you’ll have the opportunity to gain a real understanding of how an audiovisual work is created.

Each workshop will enable you to explore the different specialities behind the camera: production, directing, shooting, sound, editing… A unique opportunity to test, learn and exchange with professionals in the field.

Lyon, 25 April 2026 from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm

In Lyon, the day promises to be particularly dynamic, with a series of practical workshops:

During the day, you will learn about production through the breakdown of a script, as well as the creation of a work plan and service sheets.

You will also be introduced to shooting, learning how to set up and adjust a camera, while experimenting with framing movements. Sound recording will also be part of the experience, with an introduction to sound recording equipment and techniques.

You will then take part in a shoot to put into practice the skills you have learned in the workshops. Finally, you will discover editing, with an introduction to post-production and the different editing styles.

A conference at 11:00, hosted by the Filmoramax International Short Film Festival, will address a key theme:
“Putting together a creative project without a network or a budget: myth or reality?”
An interactive exchange to deconstruct preconceived ideas and understand the concrete levers for getting started today.

Cinécréatis student films will be screened throughout the day, so you can keep up to date with the students’ creations.

Nantes, 25 April 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

In Nantes, participants will be able to explore a wide range of disciplines:

In Nantes, participants will be able to discover several workshops running in parallel throughout the day.

A shooting workshop will give participants the chance to experiment with acting, framing, sound recording and lighting management. At the same time, an introduction to dubbing will be offered with the support of the Cinécréatis dubbing club.

You will also be able to take part in a workshop on directing actors and casting through role-playing in front of the camera, as well as discovering the world of Studio Harcourt, including lighting and photographic posing.

Other workshops (costumes, editing, VFX) will complete the programme.

The day will also include screenings of films made by the students, for a full immersion in emerging creativity.
