Damien Hurgon
An incredible talent!
How did it come to this?
With unwavering consistency, Damien works on project after project, surrounded by a solid team of professionals. This is a major asset for those who, like him, join the leading post-production studios.
Major productions, feature films, refined visual effects, Damien Hurgon has both feet on the red carpet.
Initially a video-graphic artist, the young man joined Mikros Image after an initial 3-month work placement. “This enabled me to build up a network”, he says.
Career path
Then came the Canadian escape, with the young man returning to the ranks of Mikros Image in Montreal as a VFX supervisor, where he settled for the duration of a project, the film “Stronger”, for which he was responsible for VFX supervision of shooting and post-production. He finally decided to settle here and joined the company Mr.X.
Where do things stand now?
Damien recently supervised a Franco-American series, The Truth About Harry Quebert. On a day-to-day basis, Damien is honing the techniques that are essential to progress in this profession. Deciphering, understanding and testing are what he has learnt from his training. A winning recipe.
He is currently working on a horror film adapted from Stephen King’s novel Cimetière, due for release in spring 2019.
