The Montpellier Creative Campus has finally opened its doors for the start of the new academic year. CinéCréatis has taken up residence there alongside three other establishments. A brand new school with state-of-the-art equipment, enabling students to learn in excellent conditions.
A brand new campus in the heart of Montpellier
Month after month, stone after stone, the Campus Créatif in Montpellier has risen to completion and welcomed its new occupants. After several years of existence in Nantes, followed by an opening in Lyon in 2017, it is finally the turn of the south of France to welcome the school’s 3rd branch by joining the Campus Créatif, built on the city’s former EAI (Ecole d’Application d’Infanterie) military site. This long-abandoned district is undergoing a metamorphosis to become the figurehead of the Cultural and Creative Industries.
These new premises are also home to three other schools:
- IPESAA (school of applied arts),
- ESMA (school of applied arts)
- ETPA (game design school)
In all, more than 900 students are currently studying here every day.
A state-of-the-art facility!
Everything is in place to help students flourish in their studies, with a brand-new 16,000m² building equipped with cutting-edge professional facilities, providing a functional centre of excellence in a unique setting just a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean Sea.
Students learn in modern classrooms equipped with the latest IT equipment, state-of-the-art cameras, auditoriums, sound studios, editing suites, a 600m2 film studio, incubator, fablab, etc. In addition, there are a number of leisure facilities, including a spacious entrance hall with sleek Scandinavian-inspired furniture that will later be transformed into an exhibition area, a restaurant, a sports hall and a rooftop city stadium. And of course, a student residence directly above the Campus Créatif!
CinéCréatis sees itself as a modern school, in step with the times, offering a living and study environment conducive to the development and stimulation of students’ creativity.
