Yann Cavalier

Graphic designer, illustrator, motion designer…

Yann Cavalier wears many hats, in an artistic universe that he arranges according to his desires. When he left school, he was bursting with ideas and energy, and together with Jason Sorin (also a former Cinécréatis student) created the motion design collective “Beard”.

With a focus on motion design and animation, this collective develops its projects both on the web and for its clients. Agencies, companies and audiovisual productions call on the group’s creativity to add a touch of magic to their advertising.

Yann Cavalier and his sidekick Jason Sorin, who also came through the ranks of CinéCréatis, have a different style, a distinctive universe and a passion for homemade work. They go through all the creative stages, from writing to production, leaving their mark and their humour.

A thirst for projects

Passionate about art and meeting new people, Yann has also embarked on a number of other projects, including the creation of La Kahüte in Nantes, a coworking space dedicated to graphic designers, illustrators and animators, and the creation of a comic book magazine,Turbo Time Travel, on which he has teamed up with other illustrators.

Having graduated from Cinécréatis with a “solid technical background and a number of professional contacts”, the young man seems well equipped to make his mark among talented creative people.

His advice to students in the process of studying?

“It’s very important for students to meet each other and create together: you have to develop and make the most of that while you’re studying.
