Role and tasks of the film set photographer

The film set photographer never takes his or her camera off the set. This professional photographer’s job is to photograph the scenes during filming, trying to capture the atmosphere and world depicted by the director as accurately as possible. It is also the job of the set photographer to document the shoot, by photographing behind-the-scenes footage, off-set images, exchanges between the various people involved (directors, actors, technicians, etc.) and the sets. Finally, part of the work involves photo shoots of the actors in the studio, in particular for the film poster and other publicity purposes.

Diploma and training
