The Discover Film platform will now host 2 short films made by our 2nd year students. This is a real opportunity for Cinécréatis, which is now one of the few schools able to broadcast films on the platform.
What is DISCOVER FILM?
With over 3 million viewers in more than 216 countries, Discover Film is since 2016 the best streaming platform for quality short films (between 5 and 15 minutes of film) offering a wide selection of films by authors and young emerging talents.
Created in London, the platform is now available for free on Google Play, App Store, Amazon Fire, Roku and Apple TV. A feature-packed application, it allows users from all over the world to connect to multiple devices, create playlists and download films to watch offline. A veritable Netflix for short films!
CinéCréatis films to discover on the platform
To the delight of our young filmmakers, ‘Le Naan’tais’ and ‘Superbot’ will be showing on the platform.
“Le Naan’tais”, directed by Axel Pedemay and Paul Hühnerjäger, takes us on a Kollywood adventure as Taj, a young Indian student, meets a young French woman in the heart of Nantes. Its charm and originality earned it the jury’s “coup de coeur” at the 2019 “grand prix ciné”.
Directed by Emmanuel Pierrat, Pierre André Fontaine and Remy Leroy, “Superbot” needs no introduction. The film features an endearing, dreamy robot in a short film combining live action and 3D animation.
Selected and screened at a number of international festivals (the Kinoki International University Film Festival, the Tomorrow Unlocked Film Festival, the Torcymages Festival….), the short film also won the Best Narration award at this year’s Reel Teal Film Festival at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
This collaboration is a real opportunity not only to give our short films international exposure, but also to showcase the talent and creativity of our students.
