Evadere: Dance as an escape
As part of their third year at Cinécréatis, the students produce a professional portfolio for presentation to a jury. A few months ago, some of the students made Evadere, a short sensory dance film which follows Ela, overwhelmed by noise pollution, seeking refuge in an attic where dance becomes a means of expressing her malaise.
A film driven by the body and sensations
Conceived as a scripted music video, Evadere puts the body at the centre of the story when words are no longer enough. Through movement, sound work and immersive staging, the film plunges the viewer into Ela’s inner perception, offering dance as a temporary escape, a necessary breath in the face of emotional confinement.
