In October, the films in the CinéCréatis class of 2020 continued their fine run, with a number of selections that are well worth a look!
As we do every month, and admittedly a little late, we’d like to take alook at the selections. One thing is certain, October has been a profitable month for films of the 2020 vintage, with several selections, notably from our friends across the Atlantic:

Buenos Aires / Paris Short Film Evening
Superbot, directed by Pierrat Emmanuel, Fontaine Pierre-André and Leroy Rémy, has been selected for this evening of short films Buenos Aires / Paris 2020!
Against this exceptional backdrop, the festival has decided to continue with the event, in a fully digital version. Many thanks to them!
About the festival
This festival was created to promote and encourage Franco-Argentine cinematographic cooperation, creating a cultural exchange that culminates in this unique event that brings two cultures together in a single screening.
Premis’20 Animalcoi” days
In Spain, the Animalcoi festival also selected the film Superbot. Specialising in animation, this festival took place on 13, 14 and 15 November in Alcoi, in the province of Alicante.
About the festival
Animalcoi aims to be a benchmark in animation festivals, and a meeting point for all animation enthusiasts. Organised and supported by the town of Alcoi, the festival takes place over 3 days, devoted to this art form that has also become a prolific industry. On the programme: workshops, conferences, screenings and much more!
22nd FesticineKids festival in Cartagena de Indias
For its 22nd edition, the FesticineKids festival in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) has selected the film Superbot . As part of Covid-19, the festival will take place exclusively online, from 17 to 22 November 2020.
About the festival
FesticineKids is a Colombian festival dedicated to young audiences. This year, the festival has chosen “La Paz esta en ti” (“Peace is in you”) as its slogan, inviting film-makers to express themselves on this theme and to highlight characters who initiate changes in their environment, who “make peace” and harmony.
Created in 2008 by the FesticineKids Foundation, this festival is based on the desire to educate children who are victims of poverty in Colombia, and in South America more generally.
Bogotá Film Festival – Bogocine
For its 37th edition, 2 films from the CinéCréatis school have been selected in the Young Audiences category: once again Superbot by Pierrat Emmanuel, Fontaine Pierre-André, Leroy Rémy, which is clearly being emulated across the Atlantic, and Moustaco, directed by Justine Goaziou and Samantha Vié.
About the festival
Running from 21 to 28 October, the Bogocine festival takes place in Bogota (Colombia). Created in 1984, it showcases young Colombian filmmakers, as well as films from other Andean countries, Spain, France and Italy. In search of new talent, the schools add to the official selection every year.
ROS Film Festival
Last, but not least: Superbot, once again, has been selected for the ROS (Robotic Online Short) Film Festival. The film is currently in the semi-finals, so there’s every reason to hope that it will win a handsome prize!
About the festival
The ROS Film Festival is currently in its 3rd year. The first international online competition for short science fiction films featuring robots, this festival is like no other! It’s an opportunity to review productions based around new technologies, artificial intelligence and, more generally, robotics.
